About The Position
Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Fresno, California. The 62-bed acute rehabilitation hospital provides services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses, helping patients regain physical or cognitive abilities and return home with the highest level of independence. The hospital describes its environment as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services to patients, including treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. The position functions under a Physical Therapist and according to physician orders.
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
