About The Position
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team in Alma, MI on a PRN basis. This is a great opportunity for a PTA who wants scheduling flexibility while providing quality, hands-on care and helping patients achieve their therapy goals.
Requirements
- Current Michigan PTA license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and professional
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a therapy team
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, strengthening, balance, and functional activities
- Follow individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient response and progress
- Communicate with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary care team
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Provide encouraging, respectful, patient-focused care
