Physical Therapist Assistant - Lakewood - Mobile Outpatient
About The Position
Stern at Home Therapy is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one care in patients' homes across Lakewood and Ocean County, NJ. This role is designed for licensed PTAs who want to avoid the issues of double-booking, productivity quotas, and clinic burnout. The practice is built on the belief that clinicians perform best with autonomy. PTAs can set their own schedules, treat one patient at a time, and are supported by a dedicated administrative team that handles logistics. The role involves implementing individualized care plans for a primarily geriatric population in their homes, working closely with supervising Physical Therapists. The administrative team manages scheduling, documentation, and coordination, allowing the PTA to focus on patient care. Shadowing opportunities are available for those new to home health or wanting to understand the model.
Requirements
- Active PTA license in New Jersey
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and bedside manner
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of U.S. clinical experience
- CPR certification
- Home health experience
