Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) -PART-TIME PLUS CANTON, OHIO
About The Position
Your Impact Premier Therapy is seeking a part-time plus Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help patients progress safely and steadily toward greater mobility and independence. The PTA delivers services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, follows established plans of care, and adapts sessions to patient tolerance and goals. A typical shift begins with reviewing the day's schedule and notes, followed by helping patients work through sessions in rooms or a gym. Between visits, the PTA updates documentation, checks in with the supervising PT about progress, and adjusts the flow of the day as needs change. The shift concludes with confirming patient next steps and completing notes to support continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Current PTA license or eligibility per state requirements.
- Strong documentation, teamwork, and patient-centered communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic exercise and functional training.
- Follow established plans of care and adapt sessions to patient tolerance and goals.
- Document treatments and patient responses.
- Communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist and care team.
- Support a safe, respectful environment for each patient.
- Review the day's schedule and notes.
- Confirm patient next steps and complete notes for continuity of care.
