About The Position

HES is hiring a Physical Plant Support team member to help maintain a school building alongside LCC Custodians. The role performs custodial cleaning and building-support tasks, assists with event setup and furniture arrangement, and may help day/event porters with bathrooms, the café, event coordination, and coverage when staffing and workload allow. Assignments are directed by HES supervisors and leads, subject to Facilities’ direction. This is a full-time, first-shift position with minimal travel and no supervisory responsibility.

• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree preferred but not required.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, remove trash and recycling, and clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Polish exterior areas within 10 feet of entryways, wash windows, remove snow and ice, and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry and interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
• Work with LCC Custodians to maintain the building.
• Assist with cleaning or repairs according to work-order instructions.
• Clean floors and carpets, clean chairs, remove trash, and maintain entry areas, hallways, and common areas.
• Set up events by arranging furniture and providing vacuuming and floor care.
• Set out extra trash cans when requested and assist with trash as needed.
• When directed by HES supervisors and leads and allowed by Facilities, assist day/event porters with maintaining bathrooms and the café, assisting event coordinators, and providing coverage when day porters are off duty.
• Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
