About The Position

At the direction of a physician or therapist, the Physical Medicine Tech provides or assists with physical medicine interventions, monitors patients during interventions, and communicates changes or concerns to team members. The role requires an understanding of PM&R procedures and related medical terminology, basic knowledge of sterile procedures and proper body mechanics, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment, including ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies. The position also assists with clerical and administrative tasks as assigned and requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment while working with a diverse patient population, including people with physical and psychosocial impairments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use electronic equipment, which may include computers, telephones, and video cameras.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work with a diverse patient population.
