About The Position

The Physical Medicine Tech – Outpatient supports physical medicine interventions under the direction of a physician or therapist. The role monitors patients during interventions, communicates changes or concerns to team members, and applies knowledge of PM&R procedures and related medical terminology. The position also supports patient care through basic sterile-procedure knowledge and proper body mechanics, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and assists with equipment, supplies, and administrative tasks. It requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment and working with a diverse patient population, including people with physical and psychosocial impairments.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use electronic equipment, which may include computers, telephones, and video cameras.
Interpersonal skills for effective communication.

Nice To Haves

Additional education, experience, and skill in the field of human services are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide or assist with physical medicine interventions at the direction of a physician or therapist.
