Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician - Richmond, VA
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific electronic medical record. The role offers a mobile, individualized practice focused on patient care, with no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Full-time physicians work four to five weekdays, generally Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part-time opportunities are available for a minimum of three weekdays per week. The position includes paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship. Employment is W-2; work visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where practicing.
- Commit to at least three weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
