Internal Medicine Physician - Richmond, VA
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring an Internal Medicine Physician to provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility and typically visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day. This is a mobile practice serving facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The practice offers full-time work, typically 4–5 days per week, or part-time work of at least 3 days per week, Monday through Friday. The stated full-time schedule is 7 a.m.–4 p.m. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided, with training from wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors. The position is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
- Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
