About The Position

Prosser Memorial Health (PMH) seeks a full-time Physiatry (PM&R) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Spine/Pain Clinic in Prosser, Washington. The role supports patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions as they work to regain function and improve quality of life. The clinic is led by Dr. Ralph Laraiso and offers a collaborative team, experienced support staff, and the latest technology. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, with no call, weekends, or holidays. The electronic medical record is Epic.

PMH is an independent, full-service nonprofit 25-bed critical access hospital with primary care and specialty clinics. The organization describes itself as community-focused, locally governed, financially strong, and growing. Its new state-of-the-art hospital opened in 2025.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active Washington State licensure.
• DEA registration and active prescriptive authority in Washington State.
• ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills.
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience in pain management, neurology, orthopedics, or physiatry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments for patients with acute and chronic spine and musculoskeletal pain.
• Develop and manage multidisciplinary rehabilitation plans focused on functional restoration, mobility, and pain management.
• Coordinate care with the collaborating physician, therapists, and other specialists.
• Prescribe medications and assist with or perform minor in-office procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment goals and safe medication practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
