JOB SUMMARY
The Photo Finisher Clerk will operate the photo finish of each race. This is a seasonal position for the Summer race meet at Colonial Downs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to use photo-finish equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates the photo finish area to assist with proper race results.
• Works with the presiding judge to verify that all equipment is in working order prior to each racing program.
• Ensures the functionality of timing during every race using electronic timing devices.
• Verifies and records the timing of each race.
• Works with judges in situations where photo finishes are necessary to determine horse positions at the end of each race.
• Archives photo finish data.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
