About The Position

The Phlebotomy Services Specialist performs phlebotomy and various technical, non-technical, and clerical functions at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is an onsite position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. The regular shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five shifts per week, with a weekend rotation that includes hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role also includes holiday and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience that includes direct patient contact.
• Ability to read and write well enough to understand and follow equipment operating instructions and IFUs, and complete required documentation.
• Basic arithmetic skills for counting instruments and completing count sheets.
• Basic computer skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASCP certification.
