About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Float to join our team in Foutain Valley, CA to include, but not limited to Manhattan Beach, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Buena Park, Anaheim ,Newport area. As a Phlebotomy Float, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
