About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team in Irvine, CA. This role will cover various locations including Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and the Irvine area. The work schedule is flexible, with hours varying Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays. This position offers the opportunity to gain extensive experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinic locations, fostering skill development and continuous growth within the organization. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Be at least 21 years of age
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

2 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
