About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist Float to join our team. This unique role will allow you to develop your skills and set you up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
Pass a standardized color blindness test
Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

1 or more years of experience as phlebotomist
Current or prior experience with Labcorp
In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
6 months or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collecting payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
