About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Flex Float to join our team in Tustin, CA to include, but not limited to Los Angeles and Orange County area. This is a casual/per diem position, hours will be as needed. Start and end times may vary between 6:00 am- 6:00pm, Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends. As a Phlebotomy Flex Float, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
- Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
