About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a hospital/in-patient setting in Boston, Massachusetts. The position provides customer service, performs specimen collections, and serves as a representative of the company. The role offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The planned schedule is varied days, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends, three days per week and 24 hours per week total. Travel to additional sites may be needed. The pay range is $23.87–$34.00 per hour. Offers are based on skills, relevant experience, applicable degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
If qualifying through certification or a training program in lieu of work experience, the program must be from an accredited agency.
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience as an in-patient phlebotomist.
Current or previous Labcorp experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
