About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a hospital/in-patient setting in Lowell, Massachusetts. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday on varied days, with a first-shift schedule and a rotation for every third weekend and holiday. Cross-training will take place at the Main and Saints campuses. Travel to additional sites may be needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least six months of phlebotomy experience.
When substituting certification or training for work experience, the certification or program must be from an accredited agency.
Demonstrated record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience as an in-patient phlebotomist.
Current or previous Labcorp experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
