About The Position
The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and related procedures in accordance with hospital and department philosophy, policies, and procedures. Under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Team Lead, the role also serves as a departmental ambassador and provides excellent customer service. The position is based at Adena Main Laboratory in Chillicothe and is part-time nights at 50%, or 20 hours per week, with rotating weekends. The position does not have access to funds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT), as outlined in the AHS Laboratory SOP for Certification Pathway and Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and/or electrocardiogram (EKG) qualifications may be needed depending on the position; hospital/laboratory phlebotomists are not required to have CPR/EKG.
