About The Position

Performs venipuncture and skin puncture on patients of all ages to collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. May also perform clerical, computer data entry, and specimen processing functions in multiple areas of the laboratory. Interacts with patients, nurses, doctor’s office personnel, and physicians, requiring proper phone etiquette and client service abilities. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• California Department of Public Health State Phlebotomy License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant phlebotomy training or experience.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of hospital experience and/or recent graduation from a licensed phlebotomy school with a hospital intern program.
