About The Position

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., a Sonic Healthcare USA company, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in Mesquite, Texas. The role is on the first shift and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service, performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, and collects and prepares non-blood specimens. The role also ensures specimens are processed and labeled properly and that test orders are accurate, while championing safety, compliance, and quality control.

The position requires routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained in reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only when required to perform their duties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

Responsibilities
