About The Position
Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in Carrollton, Texas. The position is on the first shift and is benefit eligible, with 40 scheduled hours per week. The role provides patient care and customer-focused service through blood and non-blood specimen collection and processing. Employees must protect the confidentiality of any Protected Health Information they access and follow applicable privacy and security standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
- Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
- Collect and prepare non-blood specimens.
- Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and access Protected Health Information only when required to fulfill job duties; follow applicable privacy and security standards.
