About The Position

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in Lufkin, Texas. The role focuses on patient care and customer service, collecting blood and non-blood specimens, and ensuring specimens are processed and ordered accurately. The position is benefit eligible and scheduled for 40 hours per week on the first shift.

The role has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained in reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only when needed to perform their duties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Collect and prepare non-blood specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow privacy and security standards when accessing Protected Health Information.
