About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a casual Phlebotomist in Savannah, Georgia, to work in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, collecting specimens, and representing Labcorp to patients. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts starting between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays with variable hours. This is a casual position. Travel to additional sites may be needed. Phlebotomists may be eligible for a quarterly performance-based incentive plan. Float assignments include an additional $1.00 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

Casual employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees regularly scheduled for 20 or more hours per week may qualify for the benefits described in the posting, while casual employees are specifically listed as eligible only for the 401(k) Plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• At least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
