Phlebotomist - Rochester Hills, Michigan
About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages and collecting and preparing non-blood specimens. The role ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and that test orders are accurate, while supporting safety, compliance, and quality control. The position is based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, is full-time and benefit-eligible, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the first shift. This role has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees receive training on reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only when required to perform their job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
