Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. The role provides customer service, performs specimen collections, and serves as a representative of the company. The position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday schedule. Travel to additional sites may be needed. Overtime may be required as needed. The role performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, collects specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, and prepares collected specimens for testing and analysis. It also includes accurate patient-data entry, processing billing information and collecting payments when required, maintaining patient and specimen logs, providing customer service, and completing administrative and clerical duties. Other duties may be assigned. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED or equivalent, and phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience. If relying on training or certification instead of work experience, it must be from an accredited agency. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of phlebotomy experience. Candidates must be able to pass a standardized color-blindness test and demonstrate flexibility, customer service, communication, and the ability to work independently or on a team with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation is required. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours weekly are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), PTO or FTO, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Phlebotomists may also be eligible for a quarterly performance-based incentive bonus.
