About The Position

The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service in a clinical laboratory setting. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and that tests are correctly ordered. The position champions safety, compliance, and quality control. It has routine access to protected health information (PHI); employees are trained in safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality and access PHI only as needed to perform their duties. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position in Indianapolis, Indiana, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch, for 40 hours per week. It is a first-shift role with Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
