About The Position

The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service in a clinical laboratory setting. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. The position also champions safety, compliance, and quality control. Employees will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI), must maintain strict confidentiality, and may access PHI only when required to fulfill their job duties.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position in Indianapolis, Indiana, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch. The role is part of Laboratory Operations at Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc., within Sonic Healthcare USA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
