About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to work in a hospital inpatient laboratory at 550 17th Ave in Seattle, Washington. The role performs skilled specimen collections, provides exceptional customer service, and serves as a representative of the company. The work schedule is flexible, with stated hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay ranges from $21.87 to $32.28 per hour. Benefits eligibility depends on scheduled hours and employment category.

Requirements

• Washington State-issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P), or an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

• One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
