About The Position
Sanford Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain laboratory specimens for processing and perform other testing professionally for hospital, clinic, and nursing home patients. The role supports quality results in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Phlebotomist collects and manages blood and other specimens while ensuring patient safety, accurately records patient information, follows standard procedures and safety regulations, uses aseptic techniques, and communicates with patients about their health information and phlebotomy procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in a medical setting.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Experience in a laboratory-related field.
Responsibilities
