About The Position

The Phlebotomist provides patient-focused service and performs venipuncture on patients of all ages. The role also involves collecting and preparing non-blood specimens, ensuring specimens are properly processed and labeled, and ordering tests. The employee is expected to champion safety, compliance, and quality control. The position is PRN in San Marcos, Texas, with hours varying as needed, and is not benefit eligible. It has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees must maintain strict confidentiality and access PHI only as required to perform their duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
