About The Position

Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) is a 295-bed hospital in Bradenton, Florida, serving Manatee, Sarasota, and surrounding counties for over 70 years. The hospital provides a range of healthcare services and has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The Phlebotomist provides safe, accurate, and professional specimen collection for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. The role collects, labels, and transports specimens and ensures proper documentation, registration, and data entry for inpatient and outpatient services. The Phlebotomist maintains cooperative interactions with patients, families, medical staff, and hospital departments, supports efficient laboratory workflows, and upholds the hospital’s mission and values. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a phlebotomy training program.

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Collect, label, and transport patient specimens safely and accurately.
Ensure proper documentation, registration, and data entry for inpatient and outpatient services.
Maintain cooperative interactions with patients, families, medical staff, and hospital departments.
Support efficient laboratory workflows and uphold the hospital’s mission and values.
