About The Position

Verifies requests and patient information, draws blood from adult, pediatric, and/or infant patients, and processes specimens using established procedures and techniques. Follows in-process quality control procedures and maintains related records. Monitors patients’ emotional and physiological condition and reports abnormal conditions to the appropriate people. Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience, or completion of a Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program.
• One year of hospital-setting experience.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in phlebotomy from a national organization.
• Knowledge of laboratory computers.
