About The Position

The Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, capillary blood collection, PKU collections, and bleeding times. The role follows policies and procedures to support departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy, and participates in quality assurance activities to help maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of or currently enrolled in an approved phlebotomy program.
• Prior phlebotomy experience through a clinical training program or on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections, PKU collections, and bleeding times.
• Follow policies and procedures to support departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy.
• Participate in and maintain quality assurance activities to support high standards of care.
