About The Position

This role requires the ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment with minimal on-site supervision. The ideal candidate will possess excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and be flexible to meet staffing needs, which may include weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and overtime. A commitment to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, health and safety, and guiding principles, is essential. The position requires good judgment based on established procedures, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record if applicable. Travel and flexible hours are necessary to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting and demonstrate superior customer focus, open communication, adaptability to change, and business knowledge is crucial.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Nice To Haves

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture, to confirm tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
