About The Position

The Phlebotomist II represents the company to patients and collects quality blood samples for laboratory testing, following established practices and procedures. The role involves direct patient contact, explaining procedures, and drawing specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately while fostering patient trust and confidence. The position also requires sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information, process excellence, and demonstrating leadership behaviors. Under the direction of the area supervisor, the Phlebotomist II performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a safe and professional environment, and carries out forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties. The role includes maintaining required records and documentation and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of phlebotomy experience.
Keyboard and data-entry experience.
State of credentials/licenses required: TX.

Nice To Haves

Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification.
A minimum of two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities
