About The Position

The Entry Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the organization. The candidate has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner. The candidate will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. This is primarily a Lobby Greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and to help them feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for their labs, while also filling in for breaks and covering for staffing shortages.

Requirements

  • High level of customer service experience and skills.
  • Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
  • Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required, including intern or externships to learn the basics.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience is a must.

  • Fill in for breaks and cover for staffing shortages.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
