About The Position

St. John's University, established in 1870, is seeking Adjunct Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors/Instructors for the Fall 2026 Philosophy Department. The university has two New York City campuses, international locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France; and study abroad locations worldwide. Requirements

  • ABD in Philosophy.
  • Strong background in the history of philosophy.
  • Teaching experience with similar core philosophy courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching the core philosophy classes: PHI 1000 Philosophy of the Human Person, PHI 2200 Ethics, and 3000 Metaphysics.
