About The Position
St. John's University, established in 1870, is seeking Adjunct Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors/Instructors for the Fall 2026 Philosophy Department. The university has two New York City campuses, international locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France; and study abroad locations worldwide. St. John's offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Philosophy Department focuses on teaching core philosophy requirements to a diverse student body in support of the University's mission.
Requirements
- ABD in Philosophy.
- Strong background in the history of philosophy.
- Teaching experience with similar core philosophy courses.
Responsibilities
- Teaching the core philosophy classes: PHI 1000 Philosophy of the Human Person, PHI 2200 Ethics, and 3000 Metaphysics.
