About The Position

The Division of Administration & Economics at St. John's University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in the areas of Accounting, Economics, and Management & Marketing for the Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities

  • Cover financial accounting concepts that form the basis of external and internal reporting by business entities, explaining how financial information is communicated to management, stockholders, creditors, and others interested in the status of the business enterprise. Topics include the basic accounting framework and concepts: reporting of income, financial position, and cash flows, the accounting process including accruals, and financial statement of elements.
  • Teach an introduction to the fundamentals of the economic system with a "macro-economic" approach to employment, prices and economic stability in the context of globalization. Cover the fundamental tools of microeconomics (individual decision-making, markets) to provide students with a fundamental understanding of economic thinking, enabling them to apply economic concepts to real-world scenarios.
  • Instruct students on business principles, marketing research, advertising and strategic management, preparing students for industry careers. Introduce problems and processes of management, with emphasis placed on the principles and practices of management and the functions of the executive.

Benefits

  • Salary range for this position is $1,803 to $2,215.
