About The Position

The Department of Biology at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applicants for an adjunct position to teach BIO 211: Cell Biology and Biochemistry during the Fall 2026 semester starting on August 25, 2026. This course is an introduction to the nomenclature, origin, and function of essential molecules, biochemical pathways, and cellular components of living organisms, presented in the context of evolution. Laboratory activities emphasize the fundamental tools and approaches used, including biochemical techniques and microscopy, to ask questions about protein function at the cellular level, as explored with the scientific method. There is a course and lab coordinator and common curriculum for this course. Teaching materials are available for lecture and lab. The course is scheduled for Tuesday and Friday 8:00am – 9:20am (lecture) with labs on Tuesday and Friday from 9:30am – 12:20pm.
