About The Position

HIA Health is seeking a Philanthropy Officer to support its mission of providing comfort and care through life's journey. The officer manages an assigned group of donors within the service area and may be based in the Fargo area. This role focuses on major gift production, donor stewardship, and recognition, while building relationships with community members and patient families who value the care they have received. The successful candidate is entrepreneurial, self-initiating, well-organized, and an effective communicator who can manage multiple tasks and projects, respond to interruptions and stress, and provide strong customer service. The role collaborates with the HIA Health Philanthropy Team.

Requirements

• Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Well-organized, with the ability to work effectively amid interruptions and stress.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and bring them to completion.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Self-initiating skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with marketing principles as they apply to fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned group of donors within the service area.
• Focus on major gift production, donor stewardship, and recognition.
• Write donor communications.
• Make personal contacts with and solicit gifts from corporate donors and prospects.
• Build strong relationships with community members and patient families.
• Collaborate with the HIA Health Philanthropy Team.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects through to completion.
