Pharmacy Warehouse Specialist, Central Fill - Orlando
About The Position
The Pharmacy Warehouse Specialist supports the Central Fill pharmacy team in filling prescriptions centrally. The role primarily involves operating and troubleshooting counting robots, collation robots, auto-bagger machines, and the sorter machine. The specialist also manifests, palletizes, and loads prescription deliveries for retail stores, receives and organizes supplies, and restocks prescription drugs to support efficient work by Central Fill Pharmacy Technicians. This work supports the filling of hundreds of thousands of prescriptions each week, helping retail pharmacies meet prescription demand and maintain service for their customers.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of retail pharmacy software, retail technology, or warehouse technology.
- Communication, decision-making, organizational and time-management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand for several hours and perform basic physical activities.
- Ability to lift, carry, and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Current (Pharmacy Warehouse) Distribution associate.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Knowledge of retail pharmacy laws, rules, and operating policies and procedures.
- Intermediate Symphony knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Central Fill team with operating and troubleshooting prescription counting robots.
- Operate and troubleshoot auto-bagger machines.
- Orient prescription bags for automated sorting and troubleshoot the sortation machine.
- Electronically close, reopen, and manifest each tote on the sortation machine for warehouse delivery.
- Complete nightly final closing of open totes so they can be manifested and prepared for delivery to retail stores.
- Prepare, pack, and palletize coolers containing cold-chain product prescriptions for store delivery.
- Manifest, palletize, and load prescription deliveries for retail stores.
- Receive and organize supplies and restock prescription drugs to support efficient prescription filling.
