About The Position

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for its outpatient infusion service in Los Angeles, California. The pharmacy department has more than 500 staff members and provides inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. In this role, the technician enrolls patients in financial assistance programs, including infusion co-pay programs; manages inventory; identifies manufacturer and foundation grants; and coordinates with other departments. Duties are performed independently under the supervision of a pharmacist. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and Access.
• Knowledge of reimbursement for infusion medications.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting materials weighing up to 40 pounds for distances up to 10 feet.
• Respond to auditory alarms and communication devices, including telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.
• Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers.
• Ability to read information on medication labels.
