About The Position

SpecialtyRx is a long-term care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations and medication services under the direction of a supervisor, helping maintain pharmacy standards and provide quality service. The role is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Friday through Monday, every weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current license with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
• At least 17 years of age.
• Reliability and ability to execute multiple assigned tasks.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a controlled drugs (narcotics) room.
• Previous pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Maintain floor stock, including restocking and removing expired medications.
• Rotate medication-area stock to support quality control.
• Prepack prescribed bulk medications for floor stock.
• Package, fill, and ship medications.
• Follow pharmacy standards and adhere to policies.
• Collaborate with team members to support pharmacy goals.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
