About The Position

Apotheco Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about patient care. The position supports pharmacy operations and patient service, with most patient communication handled by phone. Candidates should have a friendly, professional, and well-spoken phone presence. Pharmacy experience is appreciated but not required. The role is located at one worksite in Charleston, South Carolina and is not remote.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent phone presence, including being friendly, professional, and well spoken.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or another related healthcare field; pharmacy experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Label and prepare products for patients.
• Process prescriptions using computer software.
• Monitor the storage and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Coordinate patient deliveries.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
• Complete insurance verification.
• Apply manufacturers’ coupons when applicable.
• Bill and charge credit cards.
• Keep patient information up to date.
