About The Position

Apotheco Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician passionate about patient care. The role involves supporting prescription processing, preparing products, assisting patients, and maintaining medication and supply inventory. Much of the communication with patients takes place by phone, so a friendly, professional, and clear phone presence is important. Pharmacy experience is not required, but is appreciated; related experience is preferred.

The position is at one work location and is not remote. Employees are assigned an individual workstation with a desk, chair, computer, and headset. The employer highlights work/life balance, including evenings and weekends off, 10 days of PTO, and two floating holidays.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is strongly preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience of 1–3 years is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in pharmacy or another related healthcare field is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Label and prepare products for patients.
• Process prescriptions using computer software.
• Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Coordinate patient deliveries.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
• Complete insurance verification.
• Apply manufacturers’ coupons when applicable.
• Bill and charge credit cards.
• Keep patient information up to date.
