Pharmacy Technician - Midnight Shift
About The Position
Trinity Livonia is a 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, Michigan, offering comprehensive services including emergency care, medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, intensive care, cancer care, cardiology, geriatrics, and women's health. The hospital has received awards for clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. The Pharmacy Technician provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients, and other Health Center departments. The role responds promptly and efficiently to routine and emergency requests while working under strict time constraints. It requires a moderate amount of independent judgment, advanced technical knowledge, accuracy, and good communication skills. IV compounding skills are mandatory; an undetected compounding or drug selection error could result in serious patient injury.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least six months of hospital or retail pharmacy experience, or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.
- Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan.
- Mandatory IV compounding skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Advanced technical knowledge and the ability to exercise a moderate amount of independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients, and other Health Center departments.

- Perform pharmacy work accurately under strict time constraints.
