Pharmacy Technician, IV Admix, Nights, Baptist South
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician for Baptist South. This is a full-time night-shift position on a 7-on/7-off schedule with rotating weekends. The technician works in the IV room and primarily in the central pharmacy, preparing sterile compounds and providing medications for the hospital, as well as restocking operating room anesthesia workstations and medication cabinets. The role requires wearing full personal protective equipment throughout the shift, working in a team environment, and standing for extended periods. The technician works under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- High school diploma.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- Valid driver's license.
- Comfort wearing full PPE throughout the shift, working in a team environment, and standing for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Sterile compounding experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT).
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist on duty in preparing and distributing medications.
- Fill automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.
- Perform basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.
- Maintain drug inventory and package medications.
- Follow USP 797 standards when compounding IV admixtures and preparing TPN.
- Provide medications for the hospital and restock operating room anesthesia workstations and medication cabinets.
