About The Position

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support customers under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. The role performs administrative and customer-service duties that support prescription dispensing and help maintain customer satisfaction. No prior experience is necessary, and training is provided. The starting pay is $17.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve appropriate medication from inventory.
• Enter customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload.
• Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy with a professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
