About The Position

Meijer is hiring an entry-level Pharmacy Technician in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Pharmacy Technician supports customers under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and performs administrative and service-based duties that help keep customers satisfied. No experience is necessary, and training is provided. Previous cashier, customer service, pharmacy, health care, or home care experience is a plus. The position offers a starting pay rate of $17.50 per hour. The schedule falls between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Retrieve appropriate medications from inventory.
Enter customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system.
Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
Stock prescription medication.
Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
Prioritize workload.
Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
